Conduct a fun fall science experiment at home! Here's how:
You can make slime with glue and liquid starch. the borates in the starch mix with glue to form a stretchy substance - slime! this process is called cross-linking.
What You'll Need:
1 small pumpkin
1/4 cup of liquid starch
1/2 cup of clear or white school glue (like Elmer's)
1/2 cup of water
Cut off the top of the pumpkin and scoop about half of the seeds and guts out.
Mix water and glue together in a separate bowl and stir until fully mixed.
Pour liquid starch directly into the pumpkin.
Then, pour the glue and water mixture into the pumpkin.
Mix the slime with your hands in the pumpkin! Your slime should start forming quickly and you should be able to see and feel some seeds and guts in it.
